The joint venture, eBX LLC, is owned and operated by Citi, Credit Suisse, Fidelity Brokerage Company, Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch. The following are the Board of Directors:


Mark A. Haggerty

Mr. Haggerty was appointed president of Fidelity Capital Markets Services (FPCMS) in 2006 after serving as executive vice president of FPCMS. He joined FPCMS in 1996 in the risk management and strategic planning group, where he focused on market risk management and new products development. He was pivotal in FPCMS’ investment in the Redibook ECN and its subsequent merger with Archipelago. He took on management responsibilities for a number of trading desks, including securities lending, portfolio trading and structured products. Mr. Haggerty also spearheaded FCMS’ entry into Prime Brokerage.

Prior to joining Fidelity, Mr. Haggerty worked for KPMG Peat Marwick as a consultant, providing risk management consulting services to derivatives trading desks. He received a Bachelor of Science from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated summa cum laude with concentrations in finance and accounting. Mr. Haggerty previously served on the advisory board of Redibook LLC.


Jose Marques

Mr. Marques is currently employed by Credit Suisse Securities LLC and serves in the capacity of director overseeing the firm’s electronic trading and market making business. He was previously managing member of the Telic Management LLC, a specialized firm providing automated trading and investment strategies to institutional clients. He also served in various capacities at both Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs in the areas of automated trading, statistic arbitrage and equity/option market making. Mr. Marques holds a PhD from the University of California, granted in 1992.


Mike Stewart

Mr. Stewart is managing director and head of Global Cash Equity Trading at Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. In this role, Mr. Stewart is responsible for the firm's cash equity, client connectivity and portfolio trading activities worldwide, as well as oversight of the consolidated risk management and technology development surrounding these initiatives.

Previously Mr. Stewart was head of the firm's Global Portfolio and Automated Trading group, where he led Merrill Lynch's equity portfolio and automated trading activities and client connectivity functions. He joined the company in 2002.

Before joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Stewart was head of electronic and portfolio trading at Schwab Capital Markets where he joined from a Schwab-led investment bank, Epoch Partners, which was sold to Goldman Sachs in 2001. At Epoch, he had been a managing partner and head of institutional trading. Previously, he had been responsible for establishing the program trading department at Banc of America Securities. From 1992 to 1998, he worked for Barclays Global Investors in a variety of trading roles, ultimately heading the equity trading division there.


Francis J. Troise

Frank Troise is a managing director and head of US. Equities Electronic Product Management at Lehman Brothers Inc. His responsibilities include product management for the electronic trading of equities and listed options. Products supplied by Lehman Brothers in this area include: RealTick EMS, algorithmic trading, crossing and electronic liquidity tools, and the distribution of pre- and post-trade analytical tools.

Prior to his joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. Troise worked for eight years at ITG Inc., a leading provider of technology-based equity trading services. At ITG he was a managing director, responsible for client site sales and trading as well as a member of ITG’s management committee. Prior to that position, he served as a senior vice president and the chief operating officer at the company.

Before joining ITG, Mr. Troise worked in the financial services practice at Booz Allen & Hamilton. Mr. Troise has a M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and a M.S. in operations research from Columbia University. He also has a B.S. in electrical engineering from Boston University.
